History

Our story begins in 1955, when the then 18-year-old Manolis Ninirakis Manolis takes his first steps and starts making shoes as a shoemaker in a local cobbler's shop in the area.

In 1967 Ninirakis Manolis opens his own shop in Agia Varvara, Heraklion, with his main activity being the manufacture of handmade Cretan shoes (stilettos).

In 1997 Manolis' son, Michalis Ninirakis, joined his father's business, thus continuing the Cretan tradition to this day.

In 2015, the third generation will enter the business, and specifically the first son of Michalis, Manolis Ninirakis, following the work of his grandfather, with emphasis on Cretan stewardship and later on leather goods and belts. In 2023, Michalis' third son, George Ninirakis, will join the business, thus supporting the family business.
